I've been hoarding this Cinderella PRR for a while now and finally cut into it! :jawdrop: It wasn't easy I;ll tell ya.

Anyway, I thought it would be cute to make a peasant dress (get it? peasant dress/princess fabric, ha ha ha) with bloomers. I used shirring to gather the neck, sleeves and bloomer hems. It's my new favorite way to gather. Holds nicely but not too tight on the arms. It's really easy to get over the head too. The sleeves and ruffle are the heart coordinate.

I dyed the fabric turqoise. It's a bit brighter than I was going for, even though I only used 1/4tsp of dye. Makes the print pop and it's cheery, so it's fine. Since the dress was a bit plain, I added an accent of a PRR button and purple ric rac. I did the same on a hair elastic to tie it all together. Alison, I just started with a basic peasant top pattern, shortened the sleeves a bit, lengthened/widened into a dress. Bloomers are KSFT knit shorts with some taken out of the rise and shortened a bit with leg elastic :)
