Here's my first raglan
the neck is HUGE..:sigh: It is now PJ's

I was challenged to try the raglan again.
Here is #2
The neckline was big before washing,(as you can see in the pic) but happily it has shrunk back:whew:

KS pattern
Black interlock SewZannes
Blue is some natural organic interlock dyed cereluean blue;I bought from Marcey a long time ago.
Landon loves it and says "Wow it's soft"

Everyone is always talking about the neck issues. Landon seems to like it though. I think that's the first picture I've ever seen of him. That blue looks great on him!

What makes raglans more difficult with necks than the others? Is the binding applied differently? I haven't done one except for the curved raglan from Ottobre.

Suzanne, he looks very happy with it! Great job! Maybe when its washed it will shrink up some?

Those are nice shirts! I made Carter a raglan shirt, and if anything, the neck was a little tight. I think it was a Burda pattern. The sizing on it was pretty good. LMK if you want me to look up the numbers. I know I saved it. It also had some cool boy pants patterns in it.

I have found that the two KS raglans I've made were way off. I have a women's that has an enormous neckline and a kids that's too small. :eyes:

That organic interlock is quite nice. Tara has also raved about it's softness. She says the more you wash it, the softer it gets.

Looks great - I love that color combination, the black really makes the cerulean pop in an amish-quilt sort of way. Handsome guy you've got there.

Love the colors, and Landon is a cutie! I've had a couple raglan necks turn out huge too and it's so disappointing. :(

Lately I've been using JA's cotton/lycra for necklines and it seems to bounce back and not stretch out of shape like some of my other ribknits/ribbing.

Those are both so pretty, I love the colors you chose. I really want to get a kid's raglan pattern soon.
