Awhile ago I asked for input on what special thing I could sew to take to the birth w/ me. Someone suggested a snuggly sherpa blanket to wrap baby in when he comes out of the water, and I thought that was a perfect idea.

The sharks and snuggly yummy sherpa are both from Sewzanne's. I chose the sharks because we're planning a water birth, and I like the symbolism of sharks; strong, fighters. Exactly what everyone hopes their new baby will be: a strong healthy little fighter. I added a snuggly hat lined with sherpa just for fun. :happy:

Neat! I made myself a huge hemp terry bath towel to wrap around ME getting out of the birth tub, but Furby just got plain old receiving blankets, lol. You may want to have peroxide on hand to treat any messy spots before washing it. Something that special you won't want to stain. :)
