Oh, this is so cool...I really really need to learn how to crochet! http://web.archive.org/web/20010310000552/http://www.cei.net/~vchisam/groovy/aussie3.html
Does anyone know of a similar pattern in standard (not Australian) terms for a newbie crocheter? I don't want to get myself TOO mixed up on my first project!
Gotta make it! :monkeydan

Looks really fun. Reading British terms isn't really that hard, and the pattern is short enough it would be simple to translate. Here you go. Looks like it'll work up really fast. Bet it would look cool with some beads too!

Thanks Hastings, you are the best! :) I have a 4 mm hook so I might see if I can crochet very loosely with it!

You're very welcome.
Everything I do is crocheted loosely lol. I normally have to use a hook at least 2 sizes smaller to obtain gauge. Its working for me for once though. I'm making my first pair of socks and the pattern only goes to a size 9. Since I have size 12 boats they're turning out just the right size rofl.
