Ds and I decided to make curtains for the kids' room, and I'm almost ready to do it... I got a bunch of appliques off Ebay (bugs and ants) to use, now I just have to figure out what fabric to get. Anybody have suggestions??? We have Ikea roman blinds up throughout the house, and will leave them up, so the curtains don't have to be heavy. The window is 41"w x 80"h (or the trim is that big, the actual window is 30" x 68"). I definitely want something I can throw in the wash... Right now I'm leaning towards dyer's fabric! LOL...

The trim is 11 inches. Holy cow lol JA's had some really nice fabric for curtains. they had a bug one. They also had this one that I'll be going to get a few bolts when they have their next clearance sale(hopefully its still there). They had 6 bolts of this plum colored lightweight velour type fabric. It's $3 a yard 8 yrds per bolt. It has these flowers etched(is that the word to use lol) throughout. Kinda like velour then riased flowers does that make sense? I'm bad at explaining today. The bug fabric at JA's they had one that's heavy like an upholstery type almost and then one that's a woven.
