I made this for Nathan. Austin told me he didn't want the stripes, so I figured I would make this for Nate first, then see if Austin wanted one just like it. Oh well if he doesn't. I really like this, and Nate loves it. The pattern is from the latest Ottobre, the soccer jersey. I can see this shirt a ton of different ways now that I have made it. I really like the collar, makes it loo a little nicer than just a t-shirt.
We have a graduation party this weekend, and I am thinking of making all of the kids something from this combination. I can see a cute playdress for Lauren, and maybe even a tank top (for the boys) with the stripes as the binding.

I LOVE that shirt. It doesn't come in the little sizes though does it?

110 is the smallest it comes. But look at the pattern pieces, I bet you could take a favorite v neck t and easily convert it. I plan on doing that, too. Nathan only wears a 5/6 or so in shirts - and this fits him perfectly. I plan on making one for Adam but just not adding in the seam allowances.

I love how that turned out. The stripes look really nice on it. I hadn't even thought of trying the soccer shirt. I may have to now.

Great boy clothes! It can be hard to get inspired to do boy stuff. That turned out great and the combination of the 3 coordinates makes it look very rtw.

That looks fantastic!!! I really like it. If you make another for one of the other boys, it might also look good with the stripe and the solid blue switched. At least it does in my mind. LOL
Excellent work, Heather!

Anne, I almost switched them! lol I will try it the other way, too.
Thanks, Mamas. Boys are so difficult to sew for. Espeically older boys.

I love it~! Funny how different we did it. Did you see my S&S the other day? I ran the solid over to the back too, and made the sleeves the same solid. I think this pattern has TONS of potential different variations and I love that you can get by with prints that might normally be too young. I really wish Mason had wanted the collar on his though. :P
