I have tried shirring twice now and I just cant do it. I have my tension set to the highest setting and my stitch length set to the longest setting. The elastic just doesnt seem to be stretching. I scrunh and stam and it bunches up a tad, but not enough for my daughter to wear. WAH!

how are you winding your bobbin? Are you winding by hand or machine?

By hand. The gal at the fabric store told me to do it that way. I dont think I could get the thread thru the needle to wind it on my machine lol!

you have to stick it through a needle on your machine to wind? I have this place on top of my machine that I wind the bobbin on... I just stick the thread through a hole in the bobbin and step on it. It makes it tighter than just doing it by hand.

I was thinking the same thing. You don't have a bobbin thread guide at the top of your machine? Mine looks like a little metal button. Hopefully, soon you can get it to work
