How about just making a list of names of who the bad girls of the Bible were?
I'm curious to know and too lazy to track down the book & read for myself.

Ooooo I love that book!!! I can so relate. lol! I haven't finished the first book yet but I want to read the second one as well. Did you know there are study guides for them too?
Jen, just off the top of my head there is Eve, Jezebel (of course. lol!), Potipher's wife, Lot's wife, Rahab...I know there's more but those are a few. I love the author's POV on studying these women. She said studying the good girls like the Proverbs 31 wife only made her feel inadequate but studying where the bad girls went wrong helped her avoid the same mistakes and she could also relate so much better to them than to the perfect women examples.

Sounds like a very interesting book. Will have to go buy it.
OT: know what would be great in the forum, but probably couldn't actually happen? A book club.

Well...it could work if we kind of generically divided by religions. Like one group for Christians and/or people who would like to read a Christian book, ditto for Pagan, etc and of course anyone could join in on any group but if let's say there is a book being read that would really offend you and you don't want to read it then you don't look like a jerk for bowing out. I don't think it's terrible to read a book on another religion but I also have limited time for reading and learning about other religions is something I kind of learn passively from other people, not really something I can devote a block of time to doing, kwim?

I just have to pop my head in and say I feel so special being the searched for! I tend to feel mostly invisible on the boards....:)

OOOhhhh it was the best book for me at this time in my life. I really enjoyed it. I sent it along to my mom, who is going to read it next.
I'll be going off the top of my head, but here are some of the "bad girls" that I remember from the book (forgive any spelling goofs):
1. Delilah
2. Potiphar's wife
3. The woman at the well
4. The woman who looked back when she was not supposed to and she turned to a pillar of salt
5. Rahab
6. The woman who had the bleeding disorder who touched Jesus hem of his robes and was healed
7. The woman who was the daughter of Solomon (?) who was involved with David, but married another but then ended up back with David.
8. Not sure if Mary Magdalene was in this one or not. (if not, I bet she is in the sequel book More Bad Girls )
There were a few others that I'm not remembering.
It really was a great book. The cover is corny looking and would have made me pass it over had I seen it in a bookstore....so don't assume it is a corny book just because of the cover. *lol*
