I'm really getting inspired by all the cool shirring S&S's. I bought elastic thread and I'm ready to go but I have one question ---- how wide should I cut the fabric? 2x my DD's chest measurement? 1.5 times? 3 times??? Any idea??? She's a size 6 but I don't have her measurements handy right now.

I am just doing the width of the fabric which is 45". Hannah is tiny at 2dys shy of turning 6 ;) Her chest is like 20. I have shirred one all up tonight and it seems like it will fit her ok. I don't see how it would fit my baby though.
