We got a call on Thursday. We can pick Alex up in two weeks. After nearly a year's wait, Alex will come home to us on June 3rd. Woo-Hoo!!!

Alex just lives in PA. He's my cousin's son. We'll be foster parents for now, but plan to adopt as soon as/if that's possible.

We did hear this week that we might not be able to get him yet this Friday. It's a long story and honestly this is the hardest part of the whole thing--waiting patiently. I was doing fine with that until we were given a date--now I can't stand being told to wait again.

sigh.
