Too many things went wrong with these including the dye jobs. Bummer because this was high up on my "favorite ever fabrics" list. sigh.... Oh well, they are done and the kids think the bear toggles are the coolest notion around. So thank you Allison for sending those.
I can't get into photobucket today at all so hopefully shutterfly lets me link otherwise I will upload some postage stamp size pictures here. LOL

Okay, perhaps I'm missing it, but what went wrong? They look great, Shannon! The appliques look absolutely PERFECT and those bear toggles are great with that fabric! I'm going to have to remember to dig mine out when I use my fabric. :)

I took a pic of the only set of appliques that look decent.
The pants just would not dye the same as the tops which absorbed ALL the color. I re-dyed the blue pants again because I didn't mix color so thought I could get a good match. Wrong. They look worse irl- the pants look almost purple  Ask Jayme. She saw them. I dyed the green pants a 2nd time and let them soak a good hour but they just didn't pick up the color. The yellow are closer irl than the pic and after the blue and green disaster I left them alone and the are probably the best.
I used cotton thread so it would dye to match. It did for the pants except the thread shrunk and the hems are all crinkled. And evidently I only thought I used cotton thread on the tops because it is still glaringly white.
So that is just a bit of what went wrong. These should have been very easy, basic things for me to make but perhaps it is the East coast hex. :p

They look really cute. The colors look great from here.
I've been having some trouble with the dye on the new PRR jerseys. I tried dying the Beach Twill with the Stripe Jersey and the twill came out quite a bit darker. The jersey still looked almost white.

Those look great to me too! You have the best dressed sleeping kids around. Those are cute toggles. Now I want some too.... It's always that way when I see something you've done!

I think they look better now that they're finished. I can commiserate though, today I'm working on what has got to be the world's ugliest twisty-tank top, I'm this >< close to pitching it. The only positive thing I can say about it is at least I tried the tank top before making the dress with the same style bodice and ruining a larger amount of fabric.
