What are you all planning for Summer Solstice? I am quite averse to the whole darn season, so I usually let it slip by, but the recovering Catholic in me feels guilty (lol) about not honoring each holy day with my kids. So I am looking for ideas! What does your family do to celebrate this Solstice?? You'd think after about 18 years of being a totally dedicated Pagan that I wouldn't need to ask such a rookie question, but I really find myself stumped at this time of year, every year!
I still haven't even updated our season table/altar! It's still Winter! How embarrassing. . .I just love Winter and wish it was cold all year, lol! I think I will make myself do that today. . .

LMAO! Well, Anne-Marie, that is not at ALL helpful, but it's lovely to hear from you! ;) heehee
Thanks for the baby well-wishes - we are all so excited!! Rhanna and Thane, especially - they talk to the baby all the time, wanting to make sure s/he is comfortable.

We tend to get lazy and just go for a picnic with friends. Last year we grilled up some wonderful veggies (fennel bulbs, tomatoes, peppers, sweet onions-- yummy) We also normally go out to a local spot that has some fabulous petroglyphs where there is normally some drumming and kind of a mini concert. Its not particularly pagan, but its normally a great time and then we go star watching afterwards.

LOL! When I was Wiccan I used to say that I boycotted summer and therefore was only pagan from the end of September through May 1st. I absolutely refused to "celebrate" summer.
