hastings

Looks like the vote is pretty overwhelming for a start date of Monday May 9th so far.
So here's the deal
The challenge is East vs West with a Mississippi dividing line. Sign-ups will be until Sunday Morning (May 8) and then I'll tweek the teams to make them basically (numerically) even.
Teams will have two weeks to sew and the challenge will end at midnight on Sunday May 22nd
The challenge is flat out "how much can you sew." There are no penalties or bonuses for buying, giving away, selling , or throwing away fabric. I don't care if you've had the fabric for 6 years or bought it, washed it and sewed it within an afternoon, all we're counting is yardage :)
8 pts a yard, just divide for portions of a yard.
I know that there are all kinds of circumstances and that that blasted chiffon dress you fought for 2 days isn't the same as the curtains someone else whipped up in half an hour but it should all work out in the teams
By signing up you are agreeing to try to sew for two weeks and add to your team's point total. You are also agreeing to send a prize to a member of the other team if their point total is higher than your team's. (I think a $10 value would be good for this)
So, stake out your spot!
Edited to add:
Recycled things-- take the yardage that the pattern would use
UFO bonus: Ufo's count as regular yardage just as if they were started Monday-- but only if you finish them. (/I figure that there isn't time to make a bunch before we start and the extra motivation might get a few of them finished :) )
Business sewing is fine and counts-- there is no distinction.
