Ricrac flower from giant lime ric rac, with orange button center. It's a little funky looking in the picture. I may go back with clear thread and tack the petals in place so it can't move around so much. I made the barrette, too.

LOL! I know, I know. I was a die hard anti-seersucker seamstress. But it wasn't nearly as bad as I remember. I'm thinking, um, it might not have been the *fabric* that was the problem all those years ago... :o That was my pre serger days, too, so that may have had something to do with my horrible experience.

Brianna's K test went GREAT, and we're all looking forward to fall, even though I won't be able to send her off to school in cute mama made clothes. :sigh: ;) I think she'll be sporting a lot of mama made bows in her hair, lol.

I have a ric rac flower tip for you. When you tack it, make sure to tack each petal in more than one spot or it will curl in the wash around the singal tack and look really funny.
