Now that Oren is six (his birthday was yesterday) he wants to learn to sew, so I need a fingerguard for my machine.
I also need to know how to tell what kind of shank it is. lol!

a low is short like this:

Some kenmores and singers have slant shanks. Also, some kenmores have "super high" shank.

I have a high and a low fingerguards around here somewhere if you need one.

I'd guess either one of the ones already mentioned. However, I wouldn't swear by it. You know those Viking people...they make everything specific to Viking. Can't buy anything but Viking, you know... :shake: I'm a Viking addict, though, sort of.

I was actually thinking about finger guards on the way home from work. I was just going to call them tomorrow and ask. I'm sure they have "something" for umpteen zillion $ they could sell me, lol.

I have a Viking Daisy and have tried two different finger guards and neither one works with my Viking. Unless I just can't figure out how to attach it. It would be awesome if someone would show a pic of their machine...any machine with the finger guard on it. I also have a brother machine that I teach sewing on and I can't figure out the finger guard with that either.

Am I missing something? The links don't show me anything but the home page!!! :(
