Here's Summer wearing the PREEMIE sized dress I made for Jodi, as you can tell the pattern runs a bit big.... It's Butterick 5896

And since I've been trying to keep off the pc waiting for a call from Jodi, I managed to clean house, cook dinner, wash laundry and make Summer the same dress! I did the preemie size again, but added about 1/4 inch all around. And added a few inches in length as well.

And no word from Jodi btw, she's a trooper!

Isn't that insane??? How old is Summer? She reminds me a lot of Miss Chloe whenever I see her pic :)

She's 20 months! But a mere 20lbs....tiny for her age, but still that pattern is whack!

Did you use 5/8" seam allowances? I've had things turn out big, but never that big. I love that dress though!

She is pretty much built like Chloe then! Not sure what she weighs, but she can still wear 6-9mos shirts. She is 18mos. I sure wish she had Summer's hair though, my girl has this mullet thing going on hehe.

I haven't had things come out quite *that* big before, but def no where near the listed size. Big 3 patterns are bad for babies. I love the dress though!

I didn't use quite 5/8, but pretty close...

Summers hair just really starting growing this year, she had some wierd thinkg going on there for a while where only a few strands on each side of her head were growing....lol At least now it's starting to really fill out. :D

She too can wear things alot smaller, but usually depends on the name brand. Some run much bigger than others.
