We went to the doctors today because erin was complaining of a sore throat.
He did the streap culture only after talking to her and asking her alot of questions because he didn't think she had it from what he saw.
After a long conversation he asked me how she liked school. I told him she is a bit advanced(teacher backed me on this also) and he agreed from what he could see and then asked me if i had ever thought about HOmeschooling her. He thinks she would benefit more from this since he thinks the school system may not beable accomidate her as well as i could.
Wow this is the ped. who fully backed me on selfweaning,co-sleeping and now is suggesting homeschooling.
I think i may be seriously thinking about this now. My older (12 yr old) has been having such a hard time that i have thought of doing it for him in the past. This is just getting me to think that maybe this fall i will pull him out and before she hits kindergarden maybe try.
What do you all think? I would love to hear from someone who has unschooled theirs.
Does anyone know how i can do this?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sue
