ok, i've been dithering about this way too long, and i know a curriculum would help ds... he's been playing around w/ math and dh and i are super game for it and get all excited playing math games with him...

so i finally decided to dive into singapore math and now i can't make heads or tails of their website!

i went through the sample pages and i think my ds is "past" earlybird math; he definitely already recognizes shapes, more and less than, recognizes fractions, does addition and subtraction...

so should i go for primary math? and do i need the teacher's guide?

i liked the story problem approach of power math, also, but then when i went to order it i got confused-- is it a series of books, or what?

thanks for any help!

Sounds like he will need 1A and 1B. You will need a textbook and a workbook. Sonlight sells a TM for the elementary levels. I really don't think you need it. They also have other supplementary products, but they are not necessity. You might want to check out the sonlight site, they give a good description of Singapore.. Here is a link for the Singapore samples on Sonlight.

Hope this is Helpful.

We are using ABeka 1 with Sinapore 1B. I bought the textbook and workbook.
