OMG! It's a crappy JA's to start out with, but the emloyees are SO rude. I called to ask if carried Ottobre and the girl (who sounded about 18ish) said "what?" I said Ottobre and spelled it. She said "No. We don't. OK?" and hung up! :drop: I mean, HTH do you know if you don't look? And what a rude way to do business! This is the SECOND time that has happened. Last time I called to ask if they carried fiber reactive dyes like Procion. The girl said "no, we don't" without missing a beat. Of course I went there and they DO carry a line of fiber reactive dye!

I'd call corporate and let them know or I would call back and well I don't want to say what I'd if it happened to *me*

I agree, call someone and complain. There's no reason for employees to treat customers like that. If I were the manager, I'd want to know if my employees were being rude. If they were really busy she could have taken your number and looked and called you back. I've seen the employees at my JA do that more than once while I'm getting things cut and someone calls for information. I have the opposite problem at my JA - they're *too* friendly and want to chat forever. I like to visit, but by the time I'm getting things cut, the kids are usually ready to go!

I called them once to ask if they had a certain fabric, and the lady was really rude and acted like it was a huge inconvenience for her to look. She came back to the phone after a minute and said they didn't have it. I went later that day and it was there...I don't think she even went to look. I'd never shop there if there was a better alternative.

I know. I hardly ever go there any more since I discovered Hancock. They are so overpriced and their customer service is obviously lacking. It just chaps my hide to think of ALL the money I've spent there. I hate supporting companies like that. I am so amazed when I buy at Hancock how I can get like twice the fabric for the same amount of money!!!

I would call the manager and if they don't care I"d email or call corperate.
I've never called to ask anything but I have noticed employess looking up things on the computer or asking someone or going to actually look. But most of them seem to be sewers themselves, even the young girls. then again sewing isn't so uncommon around here since 4H is huge.

you have to let management know. If only they would do that were I work then half of these teenage lazy a#* would be fired. Half the time they don't know what stuff is or where it is but have time to talk and do nothing :shake: . Erika
