If I came to your house right now....what's the craziest/messiest/most embarrassing to you thing I'd see?

At mine...you'd see 2 eggs sort of planted in the front garden because Jacob thinks they'll grow into flowers. I just got tired of arguing with him about that one. Let him find out for himself...

Inside? My refrigerator would be the most embarrassing. I think I've still got 3 dozen dyed eggs in there from Easter. The messiest thing would be my room, but I'd probably not even let you see that.

There was a time when I'd have died rather than let anyone in when my house was in this shape-which it always is.

The couch is completely hidden under clean laundry.

My torn up bathroom

DH thought he could play plumber a few weeks ago and, well, it didnt work out (he can fix a gazillion dollar crane in record time, but plumbing is def not his forte - LOL). We called in a pro to fix the shower valve. However, there is a hole in the tile still (it seems they make repair plates in everything but brass and guess what our fixtures are), a chip in the tub that is half patched and the tub is full of junk.

Its driving me insane!!

I'm with Allison. I have this one chair in a corner that has like 6 loads of laundry piled on it and a laundry basket full next to it. That is like the one thing I have a hard time keeping up with. It doesn't make it upstairs.

I would have said my floors too, but I vaccumed and just steam cleaned the kitchen floor. Need to do the downstairs bathroom too. Well the upstairs baths need to be done as well. I hate cleaning. lol

The toilet lid in my bathroom is duck taped shot because it doesn't work.
In my bedroom there is a wet diaper on the floor. :drop:

The huge clump of cottage cheese in the heat register that Lydia dumped in there yesterday. I've had no energy to get down there and unscrew the thing and clean it out. Man, that's just gross. :shake:

You all are making me feel better about my house. I wouldn't let you in my bedroom either, right now it's catch-all for all the stuff I moved out of the living room yesterday. Mostly laundry baskets of clean clothes, blankets & things I'm trying to pack away for next winter.

Ummm, really nasty? The kitchen floor needs to be mopped--my socks were sticking to something this morning, koolaid I bet. And the girls bathtub is GROSS. We don't use that bathroom because D likes to flush a whole roll of TP. But the tub...the girls were fooling around in there, they put a metal cookie tin in water and it rusted and they tossed the scrub brush, toilet brush and a towel in there. Gag. Everything's dry but still sitting there a lovely shade of orange. No one told me and like I said the door is usually closed, lol...

Hey, and our Christmas tree is still on the front lawn! I bet the mamas got a chuckle at that yesterday. I was so sick of it dropping needles in here that I hauled it out and it's been there for 3 mos. I better move it soon or the neighbors will start complaining :D

My friend Jody came to clean today and I just tossed everything that didn't have a home into the utility/laundry room. I'm not sure you can even open the door. Oh, and I stuff all the dirty laundry into the closets so she could sweep.

We have a split level & from the kitchen to the sewing / laundry room there is a 3 step drop, so there is a wrought (?) iron rail there & I hang our laundry up to then be carry upstairs, there's easily a weeks worth. Like 10ft of rail with laundry hanging on it. It looks like a dry cleaners. :shake:

My floors. They need vacuumed SO bad! The cats are shedding their winter coats and the hair is getting out of control. Plus, I've had the windows open, so all kinds of dust has blown in.

My workroom is pretty hideous, but that's nothing new. I like to work in creative chaos. LOL

Hmmmmm.....there is no craziness here, life here is generally kind of peaceful. It is one of those gorgeous kind of window and doors open kind of day. The girls and I spend the morning together and now they are quietly doing arithmetic.

I might be embarressed though, if you went in my backyard because I haven't swept up the chicken poop off the back patio in about a week and that is where they like to hang out a lot of the time.

As for messy, a picture is worth a thousand words, right?:

It will be clean before the days end, but it is near 3pm and I haven't started yet. Instead I worked out, the girls and I went rollerblading (hence my skates in the middle of the kitchen floor) and we then ate lunch and watched 3 episodes of Little House from Season 1. I did mop it the day before yesterday. :)

So....the dishes in the dishwasher are clean, but the girls haven't emptied it yet, the sink is half full of dishes that need to go in the soon-to-be empty dishwasher. Plus add all the pots that we put on the floor for the doggie prewash to clean, LOL. There is a cutting board out where I sliced 2 org. apples for lunch, a bunch of spices and vanilla from making rice pudding last night, as well as the cast iron pans from last night's dinner. Seeds are out because I was looking for Sweet Basil to plant (found 2 packages, YAY!), chicken water containers need to be washed, and coffee grounds need to be composted from this morning as well as all compost taken out.

My girls are doing their schoolwork, so I best step away from here and start on my mess. :D

OMGosh the whole dang house is a nightmare right now.
Dh has been gone since Sunday so just keeping up with the kids and keeping them fed is all I can manage.
Plus we are hoping to move soon so there are boxes stacked everywhere.
I have been going thru toys and clothes so there are trash bags full of stuff waiting for freecycle people to come get them. And I swept the family room and have a HUGE pile of toys, random clothes and dirty dishes and trash in a pile I am about to sort thru all of it.
I'll even post a picture

This is what most of the house looks like right now!
Complete chaos!
