No, not the gentle ones inside your head that tell you to bring extra Kleenex, 'coz unbeknownst to you, someone will ask you for extras later on in the day, lol

I think I hear my DH talking when he's at work sometimes, I figure that is just my brain short circuiting. This is different. Yesterday I smudged the house and this morning, I go downstairs to do laundry. As I am loading the washer, I hear this voice that says "Amy!"-kinda like a "long time no see" tone, but it doesn't sound normal, it sounds like someone's voice taped, then sped up at a higher speed. Make sense?

I HAVE been very tired lately, the baby wakes up about 7 times each night, and I rarely get naps. I am thinking that is what it was-a sympton of sleep deprivation.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. I figure people in this forum might be a more open minded to things like this. :big hug:

I have at different times in my life but most recently it was after my dear aunt passed and she spoke to me. In other words, not a regular thing. It does sound like a stress induced hallucination. If you hear a voice telling you to do something harmful to yourself or others that's a big red flag for post pardum psychosis and you need to get to an ER, ok? Try to get some rest, mama. It's ok to let the kids watch some videos so can get what you need. ((hugs)) That can be scary and fascinating at the same time. . . a call to the doc might ease your mind a little.

could definately be sleep deprivation. At my absolute worst I thought I could hear other people's thoughts and I went in for help. I don't know if this is your problem but :big hug:

My soap "awaken" will cure that (I am totally kidding-I do not have one of those..maybe I should) LOL
BIG HUGS to you Amy. I don't really have that experience, but when a woman goes without much sleep, we are open to many different things. I hope you get soem good sleep soon, mama. Much love

:big hug: I have OCD, so I have impulses that can be likened to "voices". Kind of hard to explain. It's pretty under control right now, but there are times, like when I am just postpartum, that I feel completely out of control. It's very frightening. I hope things get better, mama and like waterlily said, if you start having violent thought or hear violent things, get some help PRONTO!
