This is an outfit I bought at the Goodwill 99 cent sale. It was a good Dillard's brand, and I loved the fabric (there was SO much of it). The vest was patchy and had great details. I'll post what I did with it in the reply. Nothing fabulous, but Daisy liked the twirl factor! :) The finished product goes on auction tonight for the Bohemian SOAA theme.

Two pictures below:
I made a dress with the skirt. Added straps and eyelet lace at bottom. I sewed up the vest and made a purse. The shoulder parts of the vest are the straps.
I used some of the extra fabric to make a "Rhoda" type head-scarf. Y'all may not even remember that spin-off of Mary Tyler Moore. Her best friend Rhoda nearly always had some funky 70's scarf on her head! :) I hope this looks Bohemian-hippie-ish???? :hippy:

Absolutely BOHO my dear--that outfit could have walked right out of Woodstock! Although I don't think Daisy's quite old enough to have been there. ;)
And I hate to say, I *way* remember Rhoda. Darned I feel old.

MyIsabellaRose:
Daisy HAS loved some outfits and kept them. It is always interesting to me which one she likes and which ones she doesn't. We have an outfit in Minkee that she couldn't part with, and she REALLY wanted the leather Biker Chic...it's a little tight on her, and not really my style...although it was a lot of fun to make and model.
Plus, by the time she models them I guess I feel like we did have it, and have the pictures to show for it. :) The other thing is, we are pretty simple folks. We live here in the woods with not another house to be seen. We are homebodies for the most part, especially with Kent being sick. We just aren't that fancy. So, play clothes are the standard. I homeschool and so there is no need for "school clothes". Now, I DO love dressing up for church or special occasions, and Daisy does too! :)
