I would like to do a party well small gathering and a blessing for my daughter who is now 12.5 ( she has not started yet.) But with the mood swings the last 2 months I know it will be any day.. So anyway I want to plan a gathering for all of the important women in her life and her closest friends.. Can any of you help with invitations, a blessing, and what type gifts or foods to serve.. I want this to be reallllllly special and wonderful. I have women of all different religious backgrounds so I don't want to do something that will offend but that will basicly honor women of all faiths... Any ideas would be supppppper..... :big hug:

I made a mandala in shades of red for Kas, to give to her daughter for her first menses. (What ever happened to Kas anywho?) I could make one for you, if you're interested. I could even do it as a bracelet.


BTW, I started mood swings at that age and did not start my menses until I was 17 1/2... *lol*

I think this is such a lovely idea for your daughter. How about a lovely tea? Chicken salad sandwiches (or cucumber or whatever little dainties sound good), light salad, petit fours, tea (of course!), everyone dressed up nice. :) Maybe not so much state "My daughter's started her period!" but more like "My daughter is becoming a woman" and maybe go through the circle and have every woman say a wish/hope for your daughter and a small piece of advice. Example: Love your body. Don't let anyone tell you any differently! (Unless that anyone is a doctor! or midwife, you know what I mean!). I hope you have the opportunity to travel the world.
