I am telling The Snowdrop by Hans Christian Andersen tomorrow to my Waldorf playgroup. Well, I couldn't very well tell the tale without a snowdrop to emerge at the end so I made this little cutie. I will be wrapping it in a brown silk like it is a bulb and it will slowly emerge as I tell the tale. I can't wait!
eta: she is about 3 inches tall.

I think it was you who wrote once before that youīve been making needle felted root children, do you have any pictures of these?
Ahh, you really make me feel like I should make sth for myself Iīve been wrapping ducks and ducklings for a swap for 4 hours now and before that I worked on a part of a wedding present and every now and then I try to get in a few rows of knitting (I am making a set for my baby) but nothing for ME....
Sorry I went rambling, dh went to a bachelors party and I am home alone with swollen feet I canīt reach and bellybaby who just canīt leave my appendix scar alone :)

I would love a craft along for her too. I have needle felted a bunch of dolls, but am just pretty much making it up as I go along, so I would love to see how someone else does it "right", lol!

I will see if I can do a craft along this weekend. I want to make some other flower fairies so that will give me motiviation. I don't' know if I do it "right", I just do it my way and it works for me. lol.
oh - and it wasn't me who was doing needle felted root children, though I would like to do it eventually.
