I know that soda cans, catalogs, newspaper and glass can be recycled. I know that our shampoos and detergents have the symbol on them, but what about junk mail? Can I recycle that? What about those coupon flyers that come in the mail?
We get a free newspaper that I intend to have them stop bringing, but we like the PennySaver. Can I recycle the plastic bags that they come in? What about plastic grocery sacks? I am going to switch to canvas and card board boxes and we've started buying in bulk.
Thanks!

Not sure about the other stuff, but we take our plastic bags (what little we use) and egg cartons back to Publix to recycle.

Depends on what the recycling facilities in your area can process. I have lived in various different places, and each place, I have to find out what they can recycle at that location to know what to save.

you should be able to take your plastic bags to your local chain grocery store.
I'd ask about the junk mail. Just call the recycling co. to find out. I can recycle my just mail.

We can recycle any kind of media.. I think there was one limitation.. but I can't remember it offhand.. I recycle my junkmail.
I put out one bin of mixed bottles/cans etc and one brown paper bag with our junkmail/newspapers/flyers etc. Then a box of boxes. :)
However.. what about those milk cartons with the plastic twist top on it? Does anyone know if we can recycle those?? I thought I had read somewhere we couldn't.. you know.. those half gallon containers?
