I am done nursing my toddler, when I became pregnant it was just too painful.
My son is not as convenced. Last week we were at my mother's house. In the guest room where we slept she has a Buddah statue. My 22 month old son was begging to nurse and I was giving him the usual excuses. Then out of the blue he pointed at the statue and asked to "nurse".
I quickly pulled down the statue and put it on the bed next to him. He looked at Buddah's giant belly and chest for a few moments had a conversation with it. Then summond me to put my head down and get his pillow. Buddah went back on the shelf.
He has not asked again... I guess he acheived some kind of nursing nervanna and is finally done.
