For those of you who use mineral makeup - which brand do you like and why?

It did not work for me so I'm trying to trade/sell my BareMinerals (a popular brand) SPF 15 foundation in light 2. (that is the color) I'd also part with my mineral veil. (I used the foundation once and the mineral veil a couple times)

I use Aromaleigh, great support forum with lovely ladies to help you select your foundation and other samples, matte finish foundation, versatile, blendable product, the eyeshadows are very sheer and lovely (but I need a base to make them stick for me). Affordable samples to try before you buy. Addictive lipstick colours, and I am obsessed with their pure rouges.

I am trying for a second time, Bare Minerals. I like the makeup overall , but I just purchased the brushes because I heard that was key to the coverage I need. Also had to purchase a larger container of concealer for broken capularies in my cheeks. I started a thread awhile back and a mama here posted before and after pics of her with the makeup and they were great.That's what convinced me to keep trying with it..i'll try to fond the thread for ya;)

cory cosmetics, i cant afford to shell out for BE anymore. cory is affordable and the samples are only $0.35, so i can play around with what looks best before commiting to a certain shade. and the large containers are very affordable, especially compared to BE. also, i had a problem with a small stinging reaction to the BE. i found out it was the bismuth in the BE and it was a common allergic reaction.

I've been using Bare Escentuals for about a year now and love it.

I checked out the sites and went with aromaleigh - I bought a bazillion dollars in samples, lol.

So next question - what is a good moisturizer to wear under it? Preferably something light and doesn't break me out?

I use Burts Bees Marshmallow vanishing creme. I have pretty dry skin, and problems with mineral oil, so my options are limited. I apply the moisturizer, then wait about 10 minutes for it to fully absorb, then apply the MMU.

I got the BE video from someone on here and it was extremely helpful in showing how to apply the makeup and concealing trouble spots. I will lend it to you next time I see you-it really made a difference in the way I was using it.

I have problem skin and use Aromaleigh. I really like it. BE made my face itch like mad. Plus aromaleigh is matte while be is kind of shimmery. I have oily skin and don't need any extra shimmer. lol

FOr moisturizer I use somethng light. I'm trying to find the prefect moitserizer/skin care for my since my skin just went nuts after several months of being nice. Right now I"m usinf oil of olay just becasu it doesn't break me out of irritate. I'm hoping to find soemthing better. what ever moisterizer you use be sure to let it soak in completly. I wait serveral minutes. if it's not absorbed it will make the minerals streaky. I like to use the foundation brush that aromaleigh sells to put on my foundation much better than I liked using a fluffy brush. I seem to get better and more even coverage.
