Both of the girls are *so* into this pen pal thing. It is great to see them so excited about this. Kaya just has one little Pen Pal (Willa) and she talks about her all the time. We just worked on a little craft and will be gettng our second letter out to her shortly.

Nico has taken on three Pen Pals and has been putting in a lot of time and effort with her letters. We just got our first letter from Katie today and Nico sat right down and is working on a reply as I type. She is taking extra special care to write neatly spell things correctly. She also worked on a little craft for Katie that included beadwork and hand sewing.

For Willa and Katie, the girls made small pouch necklaces our of felt. We cut out heart shapes and the girls sewed colorful seed beads to the front. then they sewed the felt together, leaving the top open. We twisted color floss to make the neckalce part of the pouch. They turned out really cute and both of the girls had a great time with the beads and sewing.

My 9 yr old has sent off one letter.

My 6 yr old son and 4 (almost 5!) yr old dd do not have penpals yet, so if anyone else needs a match, please pm me!

Levi just finished his this morning and we are getting ready to put it in the mailbox :)

Mikey received a wonderful letter, and responded. Sean still hasn’t sent anything out. I suppose I should just chose a piece of his artwork and mail it out.

well, you know willa is loving her sweet PP kaya :) it is really cute b/c she (like kaya) taks about her all the time....lol, it is adorable! i showed her your sig pic the other day & she just ran around saying " my friend, my pen pal, that's her! i love her! kaya!" :happy:

willa loves her pouch & wears it daily! it now carries a special stone she found last summer..lol.

Katie has been loving it! She loved her heart pouch from Nico, just loved it. She is taking a while to reply this time as she spent the weekend at her grandma's and we have been outside nearly every second of the day as it's just gorgeous here right now. She also sewed something up for Nico.

There is something truly magical about it...she has been thrilled to send and receive each letter.

We have a letter going out soon!!

We need to find a 5.5 yr old girl (or around that age) for my dd to write to. She has been jealous that her sister has a penpal from here.
