Things are gonna get mighty tight around here as we are buying a house & our mortgage is gonna be more than double what we are paying for rent(actually, $3,300/month more!!! :( )!!!!! Ouch!
I know most of all the basic ideas really, just want a good site that will motivate me!

TIA!

I adore Clark Howard - I listen to his radio show as often as possible. He has great information on reducing payments on insurance and such. Whenever I feel the need for a "boost", I always dust off my Tightwad Gazettes for inspirations.

Here's a link to the Clark Howard site -

okay - that did not help! LOL According to his site the house we bought has a 43% chance of decreasing in value! (we are in San Diego). I find that reallllllyyyy hard to believe though. Houses here are going up in value like CRAZY! Houses that were first sold for $400,000. a few years ago are now in million dollar neighborhoods. I just dont see how that is possible LOL Oh,well. I dont care. We love our house & have great plans for it.We got a great deal for the area & EVERYONE tells us what a GREAT area it is & that it is the best place they have ever lived. Its gotta be worth it no matter what! LOL (yes, I am panicking. A $5,000.00/month mortgage is freaking me out!)

That is probably because interest rates are going up.

Sunflower,

I am in the same boat as you! I just found out that I won the contract on a 2 bedroom condo that is $700 more a month than my current rent and I am having SERIOUS buyers remorse. My only out is terminating the contract once I have received the condo documents. I am freaking!
