Yesterday I made a Sprout Root Child from a craft kit (http://www.playfulpixie.com/uscat/us-flower-children-root-children-kits.html) and she turned out very sweetly. I'm not the worlds most experienced hand sewer, and working with knits is a bit trickier than felt, so there are a few things I'll do differently next time, but I think she turned out very pretty, and Kaelynn agrees :). She started packing her around after her dress was the only thing cut out from the knit fabric :o . Petting the fabric and saying dolly dolly! Isn't it sweet how children love their handmade toys?

Anyways, she only took 1 afternoon, between snack making, nursing and all the other toddler interruptions :juggle: . Now I just need DH to make us a nature table!

So, enough of all that, here she is!

She's cute, you did a nice job. I love the story of the Root Children. You'll have to make her some fellow roots now.
