Or rather, a better way to make them. :)

I just tried one and it is furrier than the others. So cute!

I used double pointed needles and did it like an I-chord. There may be other names for this technique but that's the only one I know. (If an experienced knitter wants to jump in at any point and explain, please do!)

Cast on 3 stitches. Slide those three stitches down to the other end of that needle and knit the row. Again, just slide the stitches down to the other end. Repeat that until it's as long as you want. What you end up doing is knitting a chord, which with the boa yarn makes for the furriest cutest round bodied little caterpillar! I fluffed it up when I was done, pulling the loose boa yarns to the outside of the body.

My 10 yo saw what I was doing and said it looked just like what her knitting mushroom does - So maybe that would be an option for those of you who don't knit or crochet.

I think this little round bodied fellow is going to be perfect for putting a pipe cleaner inside of too.

Sorry no pic yet, I'm actually homeschooling right now.

Hugs,
Rhea

Ooh! I actually have some of those little spool I cord makers. yet again something I own and have no clue how to use but heck, they sound better this way and the little kids would be able to make them too (or the 30 year olds  ) Guess i need to get some more yarn.
Oh, in case it was missed, AC Moore has the fuzzy yarn on sale this week and our store had 30 colors.
