Linen and Sweater Protector

Do you know why sweaters and linens were so safe in an old cedar
linen closet? It was the smell of cedar--moths just hate it! So,
with the help of cedarwood essential oil, you cam make that old
cedar chest or closet smell new again while protecting your sweaters
and linens.

1 cup white rice
6 drops cedarwood essential oil
1 drop orange essential oil

Add the essential oil to the rice and blend with a spoon for about 30
seconds. Shelf life is about 6-8 months, then re-fragrance again.

You can either put it in fabric swatches or bags, or tie it up in
hankies to give as gifts. You can also use old nylon stockings: just
cut a strip from one leg, stuff the rice in the center, and tie up
both ends with ribbon or yarn.

That would be great for protecting sweaters, but linens don't need to be protected from moths or carpet beetles. Only animal fibers do.

Well...something ate an entire doll collection I had stored in a trunk. Most of the bodies were muslin. I have heard there is a certain type of moth that does eat all types of fabric fibers...which is what I think got into my beautiful dolls from all over the world. :wah:
