We had been using Weleda toothpaste for Maya but none of the local stores have it so we decided to get the Tom's of Maine new flouride free gel. I am not impressed. It foams in her mouth and makes her look like she has rabies! It's difficult enough to brush her teeth as it is never mind the fact that the foam makes it hard to see what I'm doing. So, what do you use for your little ones (flouride free)?

I know Burt's Bees makes a fluoride free kid toothpaste.

We use Tom's of Maine Cinnamint flouride free. I do not think it is a kids toothpaste but it is tasty and is flouride free. No one in our house does flouride.

Thanks gals! I think I am going to try again to find Weleda. i am from Maine and used to buy Toms products frequesntly but once they sold out I was no longer impressed. I got a deodorant from them once with a paper telling me how alluminum has no side effects blah blah blah and so they use it in their products:rolleyes:

The above link is for www.NEEDS.com and is where I buy our flouride free toothpaste. My children really like this flavor, because it is very mild, tasting like berries. And, it really does the trick in helping with sensitive teeth!! Even though it says "Berry Mint", I can't taste it.

I am not sure how "accurate" this site may be but here is some info. I have read this other places as well. This was just the first site I popped up on a search.

You know, I personally don't know why but our water has plenty in it and we have a well. Our denstist also said no flouride until Maya can spit out the toothpaste. I have heard that it can spot teeth though but I am interested why as well.
