student loans and my Chevron card. Once I get the bill for the Chevron card I'll be able to pay that one off, too.
I can't believe how wonderful that feels. I wish we could get out from the student loans but that's not possible right now. It will happen soon, though.
Sooooo....now I'm back to be ultra-thrift so we can maintain this level. I sooooo love being thrifty. Since we sold our house I've bought a few new things but it doesn't feel right...it's much more exciting to be thrifty and conserve what we have.
The mamas on this board have been such a help and inspiration to me. I think you all just ;cool: .

That is great. It will be awesome to be out form under most of your debt. I am working towards that too. Can't wait!
Congratulations on a great job!

Thanks, it does feel pretty good. Of course, we are no longer "homeowners" but that's ok. We are looking into alternatives to buying a house that comes along with debt. We've been really intrigued by the mortgage free thread in Super Crunch.
We've been looking online for property in Oregon. The one we really liked was sold :wah: but there will be others. I have the book Mortgage Free on reserve at the library and need to pick it up. If it looks like it will work for us, then I'll buy it. We are really open to building our own home. It's ok if it takes a while as we don't want to permanently leave this area until my oldest is done with high school. Probably even my youngest if he's well established at his school by then. Sooooooooo, it's going to be a while so we have lots of time to build at our own pace.

Wooohooooo! Isn't it wonderful! We are in the same boat. One credit card and my student loans. (Well and of course the new car.... but that will be taken care of before June)
I gotta say, Heather and I were talking last night about owning houses... and it is just not all it is cracked up to be. I mean I wouldn't mind, but I really enjoy renting for the "I call them and they come fix it" stuff. It doesn't feel like throw away money to me. I like the idea of leasing a car too... but the idea of NEVER having my own bugs me. We will eventually have a house... just not in the near future and that is fine. ;)
