from the earth/trees/sky?
Is that God? The Goddess?
Whenever I feel "out of whack" I go outside. I always feel so much better, so centered after spending time breathing the air, touching the trees. I am trying to put a name to the "life force" I feel from the outdoors.
Maybe it's nameless?
Thank you for your insight-

I find that you can't speak in generalities about such things. We believe many of the things you named have Souls all their own.
However, what I think you're getting at might be the Life-Force, which is so strongly felt in nature, with children at play, or with spending time with animals.

I was hoping you would post to this, Becca. You have a way of explaining things...
I always look forward to your posts!
Thank you-

I dont have any answers, Amy, but I can relate to what youare saying.
And actually can share the consequences of not grounding oneself.
I have a little story.
Yesterday, the sun was out...it was BEAUTIFUL...like an early spring day. I thrive in cool weather and said all day I woudl be going outside...but guess what...I got busy inside (as usual) and did not go outside.
By the time the afternoon rolled around i felt so stressed. I get headaches in the back of my neck and shoulder area when I am stressed.
By the time I got outside it was time to pick up teens and go work out. Not the same as enjoying the outdoors!
Thank goodness I had some motherwort, cuz I tell ya, I was feeling even PMSy and I am not menstruating yet due to bfing.
I am convinced that had I gone outside during the day like I knew I was supposed to, I woudl have felt wonderful and charged up.
Maybe I will have a second chance today:)

I was thinking of the term "life force" or "life energy". It is like an accumulation not only of the energies of the natural things that surround us, but we can also sense the energies of the people all over the world. Some give more to the energies...some take more...we can give at times & receive at times.
We live in a forest surrounded by trees, birds, & other wild critters too. We have 2 horses, a sheep and 4 chickens, 3 cats & a dog. We also live near the base of a mountain & near a lake. We drink the water out of our own spring fed well.
I definitely feel much better when I get out & about outside. Caring for our animals "forces" me to do this as does having to bring in wood for the woodstove. I even moved an unused bird-feeder around to the back of the house & put it on a stump I can see from my kitchen window above the sink. I am so happy with all the birds that discovered the filled feeder within minutes!! I love being able to see trees outside of every single window in our house. No matter where I am in the house I can see out of a window.
I can actually feel the energy of the all the living & non-living things around me "fill me up" when I am outside.
I had the flu last week & felt horrible. The animals still needed tending though. So after finishing in the bathroom I hoped I could manage long enough to quickly do the chores. It was a lovely sunny day (cold though...brr-Canada) and I literally stood among the trees & absorbed some of their energies and asked for my body to be cleansed of my illness. Most everyone else I knew who had the flu had the severe symptoms for quite some time. Well by 3:00 pm my body had definitely had its share of "cleansing"...but that was the last time and I was on the road to recovery. That is the fastest I have ever gotten over an illness like that!! No one else in my family got it either.
Thank-you life energy!!
I couldn't imagine myself living anywhere without trees, gardens, etc. I have been living amongst the trees for over 16 years now.
Hug a tree....it really does feel good!!
You can actually feel the different energies that come from different life forms and some can even "see" these energies. I've had some fun playing around with that stuff as I have my level II in Therapeutic Touch.

It is the Holy Spirit! That is the aspect of God that we can feel, that can dwell in us and around us...some say that the Holy Spirit is the feminine aspect of God....
