Hi mamas~

I need to market my book.

I already posted on here, and my friend is posting on GCM.com and on mothering.com. Does anyone else have any ideas for me? I am new to all of this and I figured this group of mamas is the best place for me to go and ask. I thought about yahoo groups, can anyone give me any insight on that?

I'd suggest getting yourself set up with a website, then working to swap links or banners with other mamas. :)

You can get your site into banner exchanges, etc too to get more traffic.

There are online ebook places too - I'm pretty sure there are several you can list your book for sale at that handle everything for you and then they take a % of the sale price. I can't remember exactly at the moment, but LMK if you want more info and I'll go find it.

Edited to add - I'd suggest starting either a yahoogroup or something similar - only as a *newsletter* or announcement list though, not a discussion list, and then promote it - plan to give out a tip each month on organizing, etc. Then you have something people would join to get, a free tip, and you can promote your book in each newsletter. :) Also, you could offer a free copy each month one lucky subscriber.

Once a few mamas have gotten it and start talking about it, word of mouth will be a great way to promote it.

If you get a website together, I'd suggest using mal's cart so you can set up an affiliate program, too. :) Then others can promote the book for you and you pay them a small percentage of each sale they make for you so it works out good for them (a little money) and for you (more book sales and traffic)!
