Hello...We are currently trying to decide to return to cding...I started out with them, but gave up too quickly (I think)...had a rough recovery after birth, etc...
SOOOO, my question to you is this: I have a one yr old dd who weighs about 21 lbs...and another sweet babe on the way...
What type of diaper "system" do you recommend? I have read about some one size (wonderoos), and AIOS...
If we are just getting into the cloth dipes, I want to make it as easy as possible for DH:p
And I also want to make him a "believer" that we WILL save money in the long run:thumbsup:
Thank you for your suggestions!

Just my opinion....

If you're trying to go for a simple system for your husband to deal with avoid pockets, covers and fitteds for an older child. Mine had the hardest time figuring out what to stuff in pockets (joeybunz vs prefolds) and remembering not to put Emily down for a nap in just a fitted (we don't do covers over them).

With a new baby, I'd go with all prefolds and covers. This is my plan. He can't be confused with the same system being used all the time. I try and stuff all my dipes and have them "user" ready for when we grab into the basket.

His favorite hands down was Kushies.... I wasn't so thrilled. It was always his 1st grab though. He liked not having to think if I hadn't assembled them yet. Right now we're using mostly Luke's Drawers for our daughter. When I wash them I leave them snapped in, so he can't get confused.

with my first two kids, I used Motherease. They seem expensive at first, but both of your kids can wear the same diaper because they are one size. Also, although your DH may resist learning which way to snap the dipe on each babe, it is extremely easy to do. My own Dh is extremely resistant to anything but Motherease, because he liked them so much. Also, we NEVER had a leak escape a cover, not even newborn poop. The diaper caught it 95% of the time, but that other 5% was covered by the airflow covers. The diapers are excellent quality and really do last as long as they claim. I cannot say enough how great the diapers were.

However, just to be honest, we are going with flats and homemade fitteds this time. Mostly, it's because I want to, but it's also because the Motherease are VERY bulky.

Good luck! There is lots out there, and so much to sort through.

I would try a one size diaper they both can use:
Like a Pinhead, a SOS, a Muttaqin. With PUL, wool or fleece covers.

Or a PUL one size fits most pocket diaper, like Wonderoos.

Prefolds are an excellent, inexpensive, sturdy was to go as well. I love prefolds.

You can read reviews at www.diaperpin.com, www.diaperhyena.com, http://www.mothering.com/discussions/forumdisplay.php?f=223 And I am sure a few more places.

I love www.diaperpages.com for a lot of info in a small site.

This mama actually made a comparison chart of many different diapering systems. And compared it to sposies
