I have some procion dyes and of course, kool-aid.
I just don't know how to do w/o getting a knotted tangled mess.

I wind about 1-2oz of yarn around 2 chair legs into a big circle.... then tie some yarn in about 4 different spots to prevent it from getting loose. HTH :D

Wool needs acid to be dyed correctly. Kool Aid is fantastic for this. also Dharma trading has some great acid dyes with lots of color choices.

Depending on how far the colors you want . I will use DH to hold his hands a certain length apart. I also will use my arm and hand. Like the first replier said, tieing in more than one place helps to keep it from getting it in a mess. I still wind up having problem though toward the end. It is time consuming. So don't get to flustered.
