10th anniversary is aluminum, tin, or diamonds.
We will be celebrating our 10th in a few weeks and I am replacing my husband's wedding band with a simple white gold band with a small diamond set into it. --- He is not a flashy kind of guy, so less is more. :)
Many major appliances are made of aluminum as are screen doors, and slinky's, LOL!
Many more happy years to you! When is the big date?

March 4th, and Ava's 5th birthday is March 1st...so we've got two big days that week. :) Congrats to you too!!!
I'm thinking boudoir portraits...I think he'd get a kick out of that.
He would not enjoy any jewelry, he hasn't taken off his ring in the 10 years since it's been put there! lol
I have been racking my brain to come up with something of aluminum or tin...dunno! I think the modern theme is leather...hmmm...I could come up with something for a boudoir portrait in leather. :D

Hey Amy!!! Our 10th anniversary is March 2! That is cool!
I am thinking of suprizing dh with a real vacation. We always go to his parents in Florida, which is great, but I want him to have a 'real', relaxing vacation this year. He works 6 days a week and this year only has one week off. I am thinking of renting an RV for a week and just telling him to go wherever his heart desires (and crossing my fingers that he picks to go west toward CO and UT ;) )
Good luck! Isn't it wonderful to be celebrating TEN years!!! :balloons:

You could find him one of those little planed made out of soda cans...lol
Seriously, I got DH one of those rolling tool chests for our 5th. Maybe your DH would like one? Is he mechanically inclined?
I like the slinky idea too.
Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

What I wanted to do was Disneyland for all of us that week, but he nixed the idea...too much money. I'm still thinking on a less spendy mini-vacation...maybe skiing at Mt Bachelor, which would be Ava's first time. :)
As far as tools and the like - ummm...yeah...he's mechanically inclined but he has a 6 ft, multi-tiered toolbox already. ;)
I'd plan a flying getaway, but our plane has been parked this year for financial reasons. I know he's dying to get it in the air again...maybe next year. :sigh:
Keep comin mamas...and yes Daisy - it's awesome to be celebrating 10 yrs!

I am leaving my girls with some good friends for the weekend and my husband and I are going hiking in Mississippi and then camping in another town here in Louisiana. The campsite is $10, so that will be a cheap trip. :) We are borrowing a tent from a friend. I also just got the Entertainment book for $12 and in it are some buy 1 get one free dinners in the town we will be staying at. One is a nicer place, the other is a bar and grille, so all in all we have that covered too.
The town we are camping in is very historical, with lots to see.
I thought about doing a B&B, but that is too pricey for us this year.
Oh, and I also have a bottle of cognac that I inhertited when my grandmother died 9 years ago. It is probably close to 50 years old now. We saved it specifically for our 10th anniversary. :D We will do that as well as a spread of meats, cheeses, and sparkling ciders.

Dont laugh but for our 10th which was this last March 5, DH wanted and got a Playstation 2:confused: !!
But that is truly what he said he wanted so that is what he got!
I got a very nice simple diamond ring to go with my wedding band!

The candygram is a cute idea! Shortly after we met, we were dating long distance, and I spent a significant amount of time removing the "tag" from Hershey Kisses, wrapped them up in a silver foil box and sent them with a note saying that should help tie him over till the next time we were together. Then I gave him the tagless kisses when we saw each other again.
I also spent a few hours going through three bags of conversation hearts, and wrote him a full page letter using them. He loved both ideas, but he threw out the letter after he read it. I could have killed him! lol
Valentine's Day is coming up, so maybe some of you can use that idea too!
