I am a long time knitter with no time. I have been collecting vintage knitting books for over 10 years. I have too much yarn and too many needles. I need to do something. AS I see at the book stores, knitting is the thing these days. I can remember when a new knitting book came out once a year!! (I sound like I am 60yo not 30 :p )

Anyway. What sould I do? I thought the yarn should go to freecycle cuz my 2 yo has played in it and just really messed it up. But this massive pattern collection is what I am not sure what to do with. Any vintage knitters here? Should I ebay them as a big lot or groups or one at a time?

This will not be easy. I am in love with my books, but they must go. Now days i use 2 books and the what is in my head. (I think those two books are in there too) And the needles

HELP!!!

I'm in Tulsa too and just learned to knit a few months ago, my daughters are learning now. Please let me know if you are interested in selling any of your stash!!!

I live near the Brookside area, just off I-44.

depending on what vintage patterns are in your collection, you might consider ebay. i've known people to do very well selling off vintage patterns there.

You can take the yarn to one of the adoption agencies or charities that work with China. Disabled young women, raised in the orphanage knit to pay their way. If you can find a family headed to China you can send it along with them.
