WHATEVER!!!
I get so frustrated with myself that it ends up not being relaxing at all. I am keeping at it though becasue it is the perfectionist in me that is getting upset and I hope to tame her! :)
I am also trying to get this continentalk knitting down as it is so much faster and easier on my wrists - aghhh!
Plus, I can never decide what to do! I am tired of scares and pot holders and eyeglass cases - but whenever I find something to do, I discover that I don't have the right size needle!!!!
AGHHHH!!!!!

I can't tell you how many times I told DH that I was going to quit. I was teaching myself how to do it, and I finally had my mother sit me down and show me the basic knit and purl. Don't give up hope. There will come a time when it IS relaxing and second-nature.

I guess I am also a little bored with the whole thing. The booties were exciting.
I think it is time to try a sweater. That should perk me up!
And with a little more practice continental style will flow freely from my hands and make things easier too.
Thanks Mamas:heart:

The needle thing drove me crazy too. I finally just went out and bought all the single points from (2-19) so now I've got what I need. Of course this still leaves the circulars and double points but...lol in good time.

Off of the top of my head I know I have:
4, 7, 8, & 20 (I made a chunky scarf with the 20s - turned out very cool, but that is all I know of to make with that size needle).
I have 2 more sizes I think...definately NOT 10 which is what I wanted last night!!!

yep, you need 10's and 6s.
You can do a lot with 8s though, lemme look around :D

Oh mama I understand your pain! I only have 2 pair, a size 6 and 8. I am hoping to get some circulars, DPN's, and reg. needles ASAP.

Keep at it!
I wanted to give up in the beginning, 'cause I just couldn't seem to *get it*, but after I did it actually became fun.
I am also a perfectionist and was always ripping out my work to start over, but then realized that 9 times out of 10, the only person who's really gonna notice a slipped stitch here or a wrong stitch there would be me, so why bother?
As far as needles go, if you want to invest in a set with most of the sizes that you need, I recommend the *Denise Interchangeable* set.
You can make most size needles in either straight or circulars.
For neat patterns, check out Theresa's site at Little Turtle Knits.
She has a sale on right now with all her patterns at 30% off.
I have pretty much all her patterns and love 'em!
She also sells some yummy wool yarn and check out the wooden cable needles...so much better than the metal ones!
Have fun!
