ok, so they have the fold down front for the umbilical cord.....that's great, but then do you need to put a cover over it too? and what cover would you use to avoid the umbilical cord?

yes you have to use a cover...the newborn prowrap covers my mom sells have a dip in the front for the umbilical cord to peek out! :)
