I want something simple, not too spicy, or full of weird cranberry stuff, KWIM??

I know this is way late, sorry ... but here goes our family "dressing" recipe ....

cornbread
ritz crackers
whatever going stale bread that is around
yellow onion
celery
green onions (scallions)
chicken stock
chopped apples (optional)
salt
pepper
poultry seasoning if your stock isn't seasoned


Break up all the breads/crackers in a very large bowl. Saute the onions, celery & green onions in some oil. Add to the bread. Season. Wet with chicken (or turkey) stock. Put into pan. Bake at 350 until golden brown & edges are a little crunchy. You can also bake in muffin tins!!!
