after all these weeks of working my arse off making sure sutton was getting enough mama milk, and having to supplement 2oz twice a day for several weeks, i have a FULL supply!
it seems that the domperidone has taken full effect & can i just say THANK THE GAWDS for this stuff?
for the first time EVER, this morning baby sutt looked up at me while nursing, pulled off with a grin AND I SAW MILK DRIP TO HIS CHIN. this has never happened before & i am just beside myself with joy :cuc:
shoving the abm & the one bottle i own into the back of my pantry for EMERGENCY USE ONLY :)
thought i'd share.

Wooo-hooo!
Anna and I have been ABM free since Friday night, too!
We started out at almost half of her feedings being ABM. I worked with the pump, natural suppliments and improving diet and water intake and FINALLY we're on full boobie milk.
It took us almost exactly 2.5 months to get here though. Probably could have gotten here faster with the domperidone, but by the time I learned what it does and where to get it, we were so close to being formula free that I just kept up with the bi-hourly pumping.

Isn't it amazing what these little people teach us? I didn't have the ongoing issues that you had, but I sure had an eye-opener with Jack coming early and all of his issues. Glad for us all that they seem to be in the past. Hooray for Mama's Milk!

lol-my ped's office just called to see why i didn't bring sutton in for his weight check last week. hahahaha.
i proudly told the nurse that my reason was THE FAT ROLLS ON HIS INNER THIGHS & HIS THIRD CHIN :D
no more weight checks until there's a cause for concern. yayayayay!

That's awesome. We're skipping weight checks for a while too. Anna's definately grown, even if it's slower than usual. She's finally in size small diapers and fitting pretty well into 0-3 clothing.
On Nov. 5th (2 months, 3 days) she was up to 8lbs 10 ounces. She's getting thigh rolls and chins now too.
I'm just glad not to be making that trip to the hospital or peds office so frequently anymore. I hate the germs we expose her to every time we had to go in.
And, believe me, we went alot. Almost every day for her first month. Every week from there until her second month. And now once a month, if we actually go through with weight checks.

Kas-that is so awesome!! You have worked so hard-and I am SOOO glad that domperidone is working for you.
After not being able to BF 5 babies-I get so excited when I see Isabella pull off and get squirted in the face from my milk. I am grateful that my body FINALLY worked right and produced more than a few drops of milk for my baby.
Happy nursing days to you Kas!

It took me just about six weeks on domperidone to get the full milk supply for Kaia, too. Congrats! It's such a great feeling to get there. :)

Congratulations to both of you!
I seriously need to look into domperidone because I'm having to supplement the girls a bit with ABM for the first time in the past few weeks and fenugreek isn't doing it anymore.
