I'm planning on getting my daughter a doll for Christmas. She'll be almost 2 1/2 at that time. What is the nicest size doll for her age? Most of the accessories out there seem to be for 16" dolls, but would a doll that size be too big for her to carry around easily?

my son gravitates to smaller dolls...in the 9-12" range. He's almost 4. I think a smaller doll is easier for a younger child to handle. But then, that's not written in stone...really, it depends on the child's preference. I'm sure there are 2 yr olds out there that prefer bigger dolls. And my 9yr old has always preferred dollhouse size or smaller.
