We have a car that we would like to donate to charity. I have been researching online but I was wondering if anyone has done this before? Donated a car to charity.
It is a cosmetically challenged cavalier. It runs great. If Charity isn't an option what else can we do with it ?
Thanks! :D

We've donated two cars. One to the American Heart Association and the other to the American Cancer Society.
DH and his sister donated their dad's truck to a local church ministry.
Your phone book should list charities, give one or a few of them a call. Usually they ask a few questions about the vehicle, making sure you have a clear title to sign over to them. All of the charities involved arranged to pick the vehicles up themselves.
You get a receipt to use for your taxes, you just need to determine fair market value.
Pretty simple.

We just donated Greg's old car to CPTV (public tv) and the time before that to the Kidney Foundation. You just need a clear title. Like khogue2002 wrote, they will arrange the pick up, too.
