I am getting ready to start ordering dipes soon, a little at a time for this babe. Everyone seems so fond of the Fuzzi Bunz. But if I understand right, you have to buy the FB and something to use as an insert (either a JB or a prefold). So, to me, the FB is more like a cover than a dipe, except you can only use it once b/c it has the fleece pocket inside, right?

I am thinking something is wrong, b/c this seems awfully expensive to me.

Yes, you need something to stuff it with. You could let it air out if it's only been wet in, but my preference is to wash it. It is a very good pocket diaper when it boils down to the leakage factor, so I guess you have to weigh your own decision based on that.

Yes you have to wash pocket diapers after every use and it can be expensive. We use mostly all aio's and a few fitteds and pockets.

they are a bit expensive - $20 basically for a new fb's and a joey . but i love them. i bought some seconds that i cannot find for the life of me whats wrong with them for $9 each and joeys are $4- 5

They never leak and are amazing for church, longer car trips and overnight. They're trim fitting under clothing too.

we also have no diaper rash because the babe is never really wet. tHe insert can be soaked and the fleece is still dry, so baby is dry.

i'm a huge fuzzibunz fan. i have like 20 of em now

I agree with you about the fuzzi bunz. We tried them, my husband actually hated the smell of the fleece drying on the line so we went with wonderoos for nighttime, they are microfleece lined, no smells, no stains and they are one-size so they are much more economical. I also found fairyland creations, which are really cool, they are a shell with a snap-in soaker. You do have to buy sizes, but they are more like prefolds and covers in that you can switch out the soaker if it is only wet and use the shell again, but it is much trimmer than prefolds and covers and since the soakers snap into place, much easier to leave with grandma or babysitters. You can find fairyland creations by contacting the maker [carol@carolbassett.com]. She has a website but I seem to have lost the site information. Sorry.
Anyway, good luck to you!
