Last year I saw instructions for a treasure jar. It's a peanut butter jar cleaned out and filled with little items and then birdseed for kids or adults to see if they could find all the stuff inside. It had a cute poem about a parrot hiding them or something like that, but I couldn't find the instructions when I went back and looked today. I really wanted to make a couple of them as gifts for Christmas, so I made my own poem. Now I'm second guessing myself. What do you think? Use it or keep searching for the parrot one? Anything I should change about it or do to make it better?
Some little mice got confused,
And all their pretties got misused.
They hid them in a tiny jar,
Forgot where, looked near and far.
In your hands you hold their treasure,
Find it all for your pleasure.
Needles, screws, beads and such,
It's hard to believe how much.
Can you find the 20 items here?
Look closely, my little dear.
All hidden, mixed with rice,
By those sweet little mice.
