Well, Desmond's possible bio dad has re-emerged. He is back in town and willing to take a paternity test. He also is NOT going to sign away his parental rights. I guess his family members (mom and sisters) were unaware of Desmond's existence and when they found out, they 'strongly encouraged' him to do something about it. So, it looks like things could get even more drawn out than they already have been.

BTW, the courts have already gone through the paperwork and publication requirements to take away his rights (because they couldn't find him). However, it seems that, since he showed up before any adoption proceedings have taken place, it isn't final.
