We are going shopping today for a friend of ours who is turning 7 and really could use some gift suggestions. She's definitely into "older" girl things whereas my kids aren't really so we're having a hard time deciding what to get her. The party is tomorrow so have to get something today.

Thanks All!

this is what my 7 year old is into:

doll sling and doll
art--maybe a drawing kit?? painting kit?
hair stuff....make your own hair accessories type of kits
music....she loves the little cheap cd player (with earphones) my dh gave her
she is really into house stuff...likes to cook etc....easy bake oven? apron and a "kids cook" cookbook?

those are just a few ideas from Kaitlyn! :D

I give gift cards a lot.
For movies (Blockbuster or theater).

A lot of little girls we know like the jewelry store, Claire's.
We are giving some gift cards to that store for the holidays.

Jewelry
Those purses with a monogram
Bath stuff (Bath and Body sells stuff for younger girls)

I bought my little sis and my neice (both just turned 8) the cats cradle and chinese jump rope books. I remember playing those games as a girl and thought they'd love to learn too.

polly pocket is a definite hit with my just turned 8 YO. also, art kits, jewelry kits, things like that. the "favorite" thing her friend gave her was a bratz doll art set with a fuzzy poster in it:rolleyes: she really liked coloring it. :)

Hello Kitty, Polly Pockets (the ones with the rubbery clothes), Paper/Colored Pencils, GC to Target. Mine are also both into Neopets as are many of their friends, boys and girls.
